The Quality of Our Work

"…tree work should only be undertaken by well trained, competent arborists. If not done properly, it could lead to injury to people, damage to property, and irrevocable damage to your trees..." (Arboricultural Association)

We are fully competent
Our climbers have all obtained the City & Guilds National Certificate in Horticulture (Arboriculture), the nationally recognised craft-level qualification. Our Senior Arborist is currently undertaking the Arboricultural Association Technician's Certificate in Arboriculture.

Our staff hold City & Guilds NPTC certificates of competence in chainsaw use, tree climbing and aerial rescue, and tree felling. They demonstrate an officially recognised level of knowledge, skill and awareness of safety issues.

We are fully insured
You should never engage a tree surgeon who is unwilling to show you a copy of his public liability insurance and you are strongly advised at least to ask to see a valid certificate of insurance. We hold full Employers and Public Liability insurance which is designed specifically to cover the type of work we undertake.

We are members of the Arboricultural Association
We are Associate Members of the Arboricultural Association, the leading body in the UK for amenity tree care professionals. As an Associate Member, we have agreed to uphold the Arboricultural Association's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct in everything we do.

We work to British Standard
Our work practices are carried out in accordance with British Standard 3998: Recommendations for Tree Work. This standard covers all aspects of work to be undertaken on trees. It provides recommendations on assessment and inspection prior to starting work, as well as operations such as pruning, treatment of wounds and crown management.

We will carry out a risk assessment
On arrival at site our staff undertake a full Risk Assessment before commencing work, which exceeds the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive. This means that we have minimised the risk of injury or damage to persons or property while we are working for you. This protects you, your property, our staff, wildlife and the environment, and members of the public.
